Dr. Johanna L. Martínez Rivera is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She graduated from the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine with honors. She completed Internal Medicine training at the Bronx Lebanon New York Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since 2012 she has focused her practice on the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions.

She is an Associate Professor at the Ponce School of Medicine where she enjoys teaching primary disease prevention to fourth-year students. For more than six years, she was part of the Hospital Hima San Pablo Internship Program. Dr. Martínez is a lifestyle medicine advocate by incorporating a holistic approach with exercise, healthy nutrition, and preventive care.
