Dr. Rolf Wallin is a Partner Physician at Cenegenics with more than 30 years of clinical leadership in cardiothoracic anesthesia, outpatient medicine, and longevity-focused preventive care. His career reflects a rare blend of technical precision, operational leadership, and a lifelong commitment to optimizing health and performance.
In 1988, he helped launch a new cardiac surgery program in Fayetteville, North Carolina, developing cardiac anesthesia services, operating rooms, and ICU infrastructure. He later transitioned to outpatient anesthesia, serving in both clinical and administrative leadership roles for more than three decades.
Dr. Wallin entered Age Management Medicine in 2014, completing certification through leading longevity medicine organizations and a Fellowship with the Cenegenics Medical Institute. He became a Cenegenics Partner Physician in 2017.
At Cenegenics, he delivers evidence-based, personalized programs integrating advanced diagnostics, nutrition, fitness, hormone optimization, and targeted therapies to enhance vitality, performance, and long-term resilience.
A longtime Cenegenics member himself, Dr. Wallin lives the principles he teaches. He has completed multiple triathlons, marathons, and long-distance cycling events and remains committed to endurance training, strength work, and lifelong athletic performance.
Beyond medicine, he is a licensed instrument-rated pilot and the 2025 recipient of the National Aeronautics Association Public Benefit Flying Award. Through volunteer aviation, he donates over 200 flight hours annually supporting patients, veterans, environmental monitoring, and humanitarian efforts. He frequently partners with Sound Wings and regional Waterkeeper organizations, providing aerial documentation that supports watershed protection and environmental transparency.
Dr. Wallin earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his surgical internship, anesthesiology residency, and cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at UNC, with additional training at Duke University Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology.
