Dr. C.B. Daniel is a physician-leader with more than four decades of experience in internal medicine, health system leadership, and preventive care innovation. As President and Practice Development Physician at Cenegenics Phoenix, he brings a rare depth of clinical insight and operational expertise to advancing physician-led longevity medicine.
Dr. Daniel began his career in 1977 practicing general internal medicine, caring for both hospitalized and outpatient populations. Over three decades of frontline clinical experience gave him a clear and sobering perspective on conventional healthcare: despite best efforts, the prevailing disease-focused model was failing to prevent the chronic conditions most associated with aging, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
Motivated by this realization, Dr. Daniel made a pivotal shift in his medical career. In 2007, he completed the Cenegenics Fellowship in Age Management Medicine, committing fully to a proactive, prevention-driven approach to healthcare. In 2011, he partnered with Cenegenics to open the Phoenix center, establishing a practice dedicated to preventing the diseases commonly accepted as “normal” consequences of aging.
Dr. Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Rhodes College and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Daniel has held numerous leadership and advisory roles across hospital systems, physician organizations, utilization management programs, and national healthcare committees—contributing to quality standards, care pathways, and policy development at the highest levels.
He is the founder and former principal partner of Southwind Medical Specialists, one of the largest primary care practices in Memphis, and has served in executive roles spanning medical directorship, utilization review, physician advising, and healthcare data systems. His work has included national advisory positions with CMS-related committees and leadership roles within long-term care and medical coding organizations.
At Cenegenics, Dr. Daniel applies this extensive background to advancing personalized, precision longevity medicine, integrating advanced diagnostics, preventive strategies, and physician-led accountability to help members maintain strength, independence, and performance across the lifespan.
Dr. Daniel’s career reflects the evolution of modern medicine itself: from treating disease after onset to preventing decline before it begins. His leadership embodies the Cenegenics mission, helping individuals not only live longer, but live stronger and healthier at every stage of life.
