Renata Burigatto, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with a diverse background spanning inpatient and outpatient medicine. She earned her medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Jefferson Hospital in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
Dr. Burigatto served as a hospitalist at Jefferson Hospital before transitioning to the outpatient sector, where she helped launch Jefferson’s first Primary Care Family Medicine office at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia. She later founded Proactive Integrative Wellness, a medical practice focused on preventative health and incorporating both traditional and integrative approaches. During COVID, she returned to the rigorous practice of hospital medicine. She recently completed a tenure as the Director of Operations for the Penn Medicine Hospitalists at Penn Chester County Hospital. Dr. Burigatto remains credentialed at Penn Chester County Hospital, where she serves as the Secretary for the Department of Medicine, Hospitalist Chair for the Cardiovascular Section, and Inpatient Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
Her professional interests include teaching, developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, preventative care, hormone balance, and advancing cardiovascular health. She has designed and implemented transitional care programs in this regard and is a recipient of the 2024 CCH Evidence-Based Practice Award.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Burigatto enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, staying active in adult sports, and being closely involved in her community.
