Dr. Al Bugazia is a critical care–trained physician whose work in longevity medicine is grounded in deep physiologic expertise, advanced endocrinology, and a profoundly personal commitment to healthy aging. After completing his Critical Care Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic—where he also served as Chief Fellow, Dr. Bugazia spent over a decade practicing as an intensivist, caring for patients at the most critical intersections of life, illness, and recovery.
In 2023, Dr. Bugazia completed Cenegenics’ rigorous training and certification in Age Management Medicine and now serves members at Cenegenics Houston and Dallas, Texas. His transition into longevity medicine reflects a deliberate shift from crisis-based care to proactive, precision-driven optimization, helping individuals preserve cognitive health, vitality, and performance long before decline begins.
Dr. Bugazia’s passion for healthy aging is deeply personal. Following a medical error in which his mother was not initiated on hormone replacement therapy after surgical menopause, ultimately leading to premature, rapidly progressive dementia—he committed his career to understanding and addressing the physiologic foundations of aging. This experience continues to shape his empathetic, prevention-focused approach to care and fuels his dedication to protecting brain health and long-term function.
At Cenegenics, Dr. Bugazia integrates advanced diagnostics, hormone optimization, and systems-based medicine to help members navigate aging with clarity, strength, and intention. His intellectual interests span physiology, endocrinology, biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence in medicine, mindfulness, and consciousness studies. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation and researching the emerging role of medical psychedelics in future therapeutic models.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bugazia finds balance through nature immersion, hiking, camping, scuba diving, and the study of history and archaeology. He speaks multiple languages, can decipher basic hieroglyphs, and aspires to one day pursue a PhD in quantum biology. In alignment with his mission, he has pledged to donate a portion of his clinical proceeds to Alzheimer’s research.
Dr. Bugazia embodies the Cenegenics philosophy: physician-led, deeply personalized longevity care, driven by science, guided by purpose, and focused on helping members live stronger at every stage of life.
