DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide and neuromodulator predominantly found in the brain, where it regulates sleep, circadian rhythms, hormone secretion, and stress response. Because it easily passes the blood-brain barrier, DSIP can exert central effects following peripheral administration.
